Probably the final update concerning the V91 bug.
Implemented the timeout workaround in the bug report.

Now the tab move inconsistency is fixed too.

Luckily its a quick fix.
Bug is fixed for V92, so all other affected extensions should work again when it go stable next month.

SimpleTabOrder 0.5.15

Another bug fix release.

Went deeper into the open at further right inconsistency problem of Kyle Collins.
Not really sure is it V91 or my miss as I can't remember if it was working ok before.

First I notice the inconsistency only when the tab close option is set to default.
Found that in the code if tab close is set to default will result in saving a value as 'undefined'.
Wrapped that code in a checking if block to not do that block for tab close default.
Seems to be working right now. 

Tab Groups I'm not so sure about this.

Moving tabs, this one I'm looking into next.

SimpleTabOrder 0.5.14

A bug fix release.

Somehow the current active tab isn't captured after updating to Chrome 91.
chrome.tabs.query isn't working with mouse click on tab but is ok with ctrl+tab.
Registers mouse click on tab as dragging and refuse to work as before Chrome 91.

Anyway changed it to not query and directly get the tab from the event.
Wonder why I didn't do so before?

Seems to be working again.

Some translation updates!

For SimpleUndoClose its an updated traditional Chinese translation by user 2htw. Also did some edits to the Chinese translations, the meaning is wrong in the Credits section probably due to my reliance on Google Translate and overlooking the result.

For SimpleTabOrder its an updated Russian translation by user cvvar00.

Maintenence updates

Theres the addition of Russian translations for SimpleClear and SimpleTabOrder.
Thanks to user cvvaroo for providing the translations.

Theres also a fixes to correct the support/feedback links in the about pages of all Simple extensions.

SimpleTabOrder 0.5.8

A bug fix build!

Looks like the state settings (foreground, background) don't work when the default setting for new tab positioning is chosen. Thats fixed now. Bug found by xushuiquan.

Also added some error checking code to look out for invalid tabs like the Dev Tools window.

Welcoming translations!

Just found a great place to collaborate on extension translations!
At Interpr.it theres an interface for translators to enter the translations, no messing with JSON files or spreadsheets for translators.

First update of 2015!

Actually I've been working on this since 2014 :P

This update introduce a new and more complex last active tab function. Nope theres no new settings to play with as its all in the code. The old last active tab function is a naive one that stores just one last active tab. The new version has a queue which stores the last active tab and the active tab before it and etc, its like having more undo steps compared to only one undo step in the old version.

I think this should be the correct way to do it, took me long to realise, wasn't thinking deep enough. I also wasn't using that option at all on my PC, I prefer to go back to the left tab.

SimpleTabOrder 0.5.6

Mainly a fix for Slimjet users.

A user reported that the go back to last active tab function is not working as expected but no matter how I tried I cannot reproduce the problem. Its because the user was using another browser called Slimjet which is based on Chrome but with added function. So when reporting problems do state if you use a different browser as I only test with Chrome stable and Opera.

The problem is Slimjet's 'drag link to open tab' function triggering the chrome.tabs.onActivated event twice and writing both active and last active values to be the same. Solved by checking the tabId first to prevent writing the same value again.

As I tested with Slimjet I notice a strange behaviour with their proprietary new tab page (NTP). When I do an address bar search from the NTP the tab ID will change, that does not happen in Chrome. This behaviour causes SimpleTabOrder just place the next new tab right at the end as it wasn't aware of the tab ID change. Solve by rebuilding the tab map on chrome.tabs.onActivated as well.

Also I went on to fix a minor 'number to integer' warning.

Nothing breaking for Opera so this will be a Chrome only release.

SimpleTabOrder 0.5.5

A user reported a problem with the order of a set of pages loaded on browser start.

SimpleTabOrder has been using the tab index in its operations before 0.55. I thought this could be the problem as some operations seem to ask for index before moves occur. So I switched to using tab id for operations.

And that seems to fix the problem.

The other 3 updates

About the other 3 (minor) updates.

They are just on the cosmetic side, something I wanted to rectify for a long time.

The space between the chcekbox/radio button and the text label in the Options page.
Minor but its been bugging me for quite some time.

For SimpleUndoClose theres also a little more space between the page icon and text.

Spacing adjustments also in the SimpleExtManager update.

SimpleTabOrder 0.5.3

Following the update of SimpleExtManager comes an update for the latest in the Simple series!

An update featuring the 2 user suggestions:

New tabs show at the right end of all tabs
Now you can force all new tabs to open as the last tab.

Force new tab to open in background
With the addition of this option I changed activate tab/open in forground option to a radio button option together with this one.

Minor updates 2

Second round of minor updates.

Updates for 4 of the Simple series this time for the Opera side.
Changed the feedback link to include the link for Opera's extension feedback page.
These versions won't be on the Chrome Web Store as the update doesn't change anything for Chrome users.

As for SimpleExtManager (1.4.1.3), I've added some visual to differentiate developer mode (unpacked) extensions.
Their rows are now highlighted in orange and the prefix to their extension type in the tooltip is "development".

Riding on the mood of completing SimpleTabOrder!

A minor cosmetic update, made the icon in the options page bigger and adjusted the padding.

SimpleUndoClose 1.3.1.1
Redid the icon from scratch, this time I drew a hi-res one to resize to the needed sizes.
Also changed some code of the hotkey portion.

History Limiter Custom 1.1.1
Now the trimming will run straight after the day value is changed, used to run only after a new page is loaded.

Misc
Also changed all the small promo tile images of all extensions as I wasn't satisfied with the previous versions.
They are now much more simple and minimal. Also added one for History Limiter Custom.
Added a Youtube video for SimpleLastTab which have lacked a screenshot for a long time.

Latest entry into the Simple series!
Number 5!

Something that I wanted to do for quite some time.
Tried TabPlus than Tab Position Options when TabPlus stopped working. Both had worked/is working but they are on persistent background pages.

I became pretty stubborn about event pages since I started making Chrome extensions. So the thought of making my own tab order customizer started brewing in my mind. Its been brewing since last year.

Its until this few days that I went into action, got into the mood and studied the chrome.tabs and chrome.windows APIs and pushed out SimpleTabOrder from scratch.

Just in time for my birthday :P

Updates x3

Ok finally got round to do some extensions dev.
A quick rundown on some of the highlights:

SimpleUndoClose

• Added the Cmd-key (Mac only) in hotkey options as suggested by a user
• Added an individual delete button for each closed tab entry
• Fixed a few things (keyboard bav, double-click etc)
• Further simplify no closed tab text and added more space between entries

SimpleExtManager

• Added option to import/export extension groups as suggested by Allen Zha
• Added permission display in tooltips
• Added a popup to see all groups and whats in them (also to help id those uninstalled extensions on group import)
• Added option to launch apps via the popup as suggested by Dante X

SimpleClear

• Corrected feedback link
• Fixed keyboard nav

All

• Hopefully (as have none to test on) the icon looks better on retina displays as requested by Shuang-Yin Wang  
• Took the changelog out of translations as its a pain to maintain :P

Just a quick post up, for full list check the changelogs.

I see quite a few wanting more from the groups in SimpleExtManager, I will try to do something about it for a future release. (I don't use groups though, for what I've built I only use the simplest functions :P)
